The work transforms a simple space into a multi-dimensional experience, where two additional virtual environments branch out via two strategically placed mirrors. At the heart of the installation, a giraffe moves in place, its mirrored forms multiplying into an endless corridor of reflections. This abstract, graceful display calls to mind the primitive era of computer graphics and simultaneously reflects on the stagnation of technological progress in Africa’s poorest areas. Complementing the visual narrative, the persistent, muffled drone of a CPU fan adds a subtle, industrial layer to the composition.
