The evening`s conclusion took place at The Fleischerei Projekt Theatre Studio, an experimental theatre space close to the Medienwerkstatt. The site had been turned into an interactive video installation by the group MACHFELD. MACHFELD consists of two artists Sabine Maier and Michael Mastrototaro. Ten video monitors were installed in a slightly slanted row upon the wall; every other monitor played a fixed video loop but at different intervals. The video was a mixture of images and texts as if taken from a medical biology textbook, as well as other images. A small camera observed the room, and through the use of a primitive (non-digital) mixer, which the group had build themselves, mixed the looping video with that of the live camera. The mixed video was shown on the monitors not showing the loop. The mix was also projected upon the expanse of a sidewall in the narrow theatre space. The piece fit the evening. It provided an instance in which the audience from the previous discussion could themselves become an interference and interaction with technology.
