Similar to a biological virus the art project will mutate during the process. In this regard, one can see the result of this video projection and net installation as mutation examples. IVI (Interactive Virus Installation) The moving image has been a long time only a media of documentation. This was caused by the time delay between filming and broadcasting Ð a lack of technology possibilities. The possibility of live broadcasting created a new situation. Now it is possible to attend an event at the same moment as it happens. In the interactive installation IVI the medium video will be extended by the support of image recognition. The complex interaction between the media and the human body creates a new platform of experience. The recipient will be a visual part of the installation and an instant interaction instrument Ð hence: There is the possibility of collective as well as individual influence. Substrate of the emotional level is the visual representation of viruses. When you play with the projected picture you will activate a behaviour of biological patterns. The familiar instrument of the own body becomes the test tube of visual perception. GROW (the invisible) Dont disclose your identity - particularly when you want to spread a computer virus. Michael Mastrototaro The installation grow is invisible at the beginning. Gradually it begins to attract attention - because something is g(r)o(w)ing on. We point out - in form of an Internet site - the absurd and graphically beautiful contents of an extremely active Hacker subculture. http://visp.machfeld.net/imap Nano & MAIL-BOX Since the beginning of the project, we collect viruses and spam from our project server in a database and visualize it in real time. An automated data synchronisation enables an overview of current virus and spam activities.
